The City of Calgary is planning to re-pave Northmount Drive, and they are considering what sort of pedestrian and cycling improvements should be included.
We are asking all Bike Calgary members interested in this topic (whether you are a resident or a periodic user of the area) to let the Triwood Community Association and the ward Councillor know that you'd like cycling lanes included in the re-paving work.
Know a passionate commuter? Have a favourite business that rewards you when you ride? Does your workplace make it easy to bike to work? Nominate them for a YYC Bicycle Awards organized by Bike Calgary and Cyclepalooza.
The second annual YYC Bicycle Awards celebrate community leaders and champions who encourage cycling in Calgary and contribute to making Calgary a more bicycle friendly city. Each YYC Bicycle Award is given to an individual, group, organization, school, business or employer, depending on the criteria for each award.
