Upcoming Pathway Closure Sunnyside/McHugh Bluff

Glad this one will only be for about a week.  The lack of cycling and pedestrian infrastructure sure becomes evident when they close a piece of pathway. http://www.calgary.ca/CSPS/Parks/Documents/Pathways/Closures/sunnyside.pdf

My fave one this year is this one. They take 600 meters and need to make it 3km. http://www.calgary.ca/CSPS/Parks/Documents/Pathways/Closures/beddington-...

Thanks for posting that, I never would have noticed until I arrived at the bottom of the hill by Country Hills, as I take that way home some days when I'm feeling energetic.  It would have been an unpleasant surprise.  What a joke. "Until further notice"

Started yet?

Have they started that project yet?  I don't go through there as much as before, but was through a week or two ago and they had not yet started.

Beddington

Rode through there yesterday for the first time in a long time.  No closure, no sign of any work that had previously happened either.

Little by little...

We just got back from holidays and did a family ride last night to see if we had to change our route for commuting to Vivo and back.  The short survey lathes are still there, and we see they have some traffic control cones and barriers stockpiled along the side of Country Hills Blvd, but still no work as of yet.

signage?

I'm curious where they'll put the warning/detour signage... well before where you make the route choice, or 10feet before the closure.

Agreed

I'm not saying there wasn't an earlier sign, but I didn't see a sign for the Sunnyside one until I got to the closure near the stairs up the bluff.
