Advocacy. Bike Calgary advocates for better cycling infrastructure, safely shared roads, and public and government acceptance and support for cycling as a means of transportation. You can help by volunteering with or donating to Bike Calgary.
Education. Wondering where the bike paths in Calgary are? Where you can fix your bike, or have someone fix it? How to ride properly in traffic? What to do if you want to ride in the cold? Check out Bike Calgary's cycling resource pages.
Community. On BikeCalgary.org you can stay updated about cycling related events in the calendar, exchange information about routes, pathway conditions, and meet other Calgarians who ride bicycles in the forums. As member, you can even keep your own cycling-related blog.
Come get riding tips, get your bike washed for a donation, get a tune-up, listen to some tunes, learn about how to use the City of Calgary bus bike racks (we will have one on display to try out), and hang with some bike folks.
Ever wanted to volunteer for Bike Calgary, but you weren't sure how? We are relaunching our Ward and Communities Reps program, and we need people who bike from all over the city to get involved. Once we have a few members signed up, we will host an orientation. You can also find out how to get involved in our other projects, including the Calgary Stampede Parade (we have two entries in this year!) Sign up today! http://www.bikecalgary.org/volunteer
